Duracell, Rule the Storm -Music

In 2007 Digitas contacted me about creating Music and Sounds for Duracells "Rule the Storm" Website. It was a fun and complex project that allowed the user to control a virtual hurricane! Luckily the spring of 2007 provided lots of thunderstorms and recorded them all! By setting the wind & rain sliders, the behind the scenes algorythm would choose from 8 or more rain, wind, and music tracks of increasing intensity. I can't even begin to guess how much programming went into that alone! It also had a pull down switch for thunder blasts!! That was definately my favorite part! (Screen shots by Jeff Miller)
Here is a mix I created that works it's way through the different levels of intensity that the user could dial in with the storm controls
Screen shot of a peaceful day at the beach. It shows the controls and the lighting pull switch
This screenshot shows the dials being turned up and the damage being done by the wind... eventually the boat gets ripped to shreds and blown away completly
